When we lived in Ontario, we would often take walks in Komoka Provinicial park. Being surrounded by trees is always an experience especially during the fall.
When I painted this picture, we had recently moved into a new home and had bought some IKEA furniture. After carefully assembling it, we still ended up with extra shelvings (you know, like those extra screws you get when the whole thing is put together.... hehe) so I decided to have fun with it by gessoing the shelf and painting this fall scene.
