A few years ago, over a long weekend in the fall, we took a road trip to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
We explored many different trails and saw beautiful fall colours.
When a friend commissioned a fall scene from me, this trail seemed like an obvious choice. This painting was actually one of the first ones I had ever done of this size, a bit intimidating at first but I loved the end result and have since painted larger canvases.
